About Us

Ski Wildfire is a small private ski company and unlike many ski companies we both own and operate our own chalets.

And that big old question… Why did we call our first two chalets Wildfire? Well it sort of goes like this, I (Hazel) designed our chalet in Vail to be as Alpine as we could get with local planning restrictions. 

One of my favourite songs and a one off  hit in the UK, was ‘ Wildfire’ Performed by Michael Martin Murphy. 

Having seen him perform the song many times at his famous West Fest in various locations throughout Colorado, the name just would not go away. 

Our new chalet – Eagle Lodge in Boulder Ridge, Breckenridge – Perhaps named after a John Denver song?
