Rock Climbing

· Wolcott Boulders at the BLM campground on Rt.6 Three large bolders offer a good place to practice and if you're camping, this may be the place for you and .7 of a mile down the road is Trestle Rock.

· Trestle Rock is halfway between the BLM campground and the Wolcott exit #157. From exit # 157, go less than one mile west on route 6 to a small lot on the north side of the road. Follow the trail down to the river and across the train trestle. Go through the fence and up the embankment to the crag. There are as many as 10 different routes up the cliff face ranging from 5.7 to 5.12.

· Hornsilver's cliffs are located right near the campground of the same name. These 40 foot climbs are steep, technical, and highly praised by local climbers.

· Some of the best ice climbing in Colorado is done on the falls that come off the cliffs that tower over the Vail Golf Course. You can see climbers from I-70 as you drive by in the winter.

· Ice climbing is also very popular in Ten-Mile Canyon, and Glenwood Canyon.
