Breckenridge is justifiably famous for its high altitude powder snow and long season.

It has real character providing an interesting backdrop to the fabulous skiing.  Dating back to the Mid 1800’s and originally established as a gold mining town, at one level Breckenridge maintains its charming historic feel at another it’s a wild ski resort and has great bars and many options for both daytime and evening entertainment .  Indeed, unlike many ski resorts the town comes alive at night.

Breckenridge is also renowned as being a snow sure resort offering a long powder season for skiers and boarders alike.

In common with the Colorado resorts of Beaver Creek, Arrowhead, Keystone and Arapaho Basin, Breckenridge is owned and operated by Vail resorts. In the last three seasons, there has been substantial investment and upgrades to the lift system  transforming Breckenridge in to a world class resort.

From smart clothing stores; ski/boarding gear; great books; gifts the streets are lined with great shops most of which stay open till late, giving you plenty of time to browse. Just a few minutes away are the Factory outlet stores at Silverthorne for famous brand names Nike, Wrangler, Tommy Hilfiger all at rock bottom prices.
Your hosts will keep you up to date on local events, which happen throughout the season. 

First for many is the Vans Triple Crown Snowboard Event which takes place at the beginning of  December.  If you are in Breckenridge in January, don’t miss the week long Ullr Fest where Breckenridge honours the mythical Norse god of Snow, Ullr - could this be why snow conditions are so fantastic?  A zany time.
