White water Rafting & Kayaking

Spring is big water time in the mountains but, good rafting and kayaking go on through the summer. The Eagle River is the closest river to Vail and Beaver Creek but, the Colorado and the Arkansas Rivers offer great whitewater and lazy float trips, as well. My favorite place to raft is Brown's Canyon on the Arkansas River. Brown's Canyon is a long hour and a half ride but, it's worth, making the scenic drive, for some of the most exciting whitewater in the state. When the water is high the Upper Eagle and Colorado Rivers also offer some real thrills.
